Do I have internet access with my VPS server?

Yes. Your VPS will come ready installed with Firefox. If you prefer, you can install Internet Explorer. From your browser, you can then download and install your Metatrader platform of choice from your preferred broker, or you can ask us to do this for you.

What happens if my PC crashes whilst I am connected to my remote desktop?

If your PC crashes, or you temporarily lose your internet connection, then this will not affect the applications which are running on your VPS in any way - they will continue to run in exactly the same way - so your Expert Adviser will continue to operate and take trades, as if you had not had a problem with your internet connection. This is one of the biggest advantages of a VPS server for a forex trader - you can continue to trade, and not miss vital trades due to a power outage, or a problem with your internet connection or ISP. All that you have to do, is when your internet connection is back up, you simply login again, and your remote desktop connection will be restored.

What Forms of Payment Do You Accept?

How long does it take for my order to be setup?

All of our Forex VPS Hosting orders are provisioned manually after we have verified that payment has been received. You will then receive an email called 'VPS Setup - New Server Information' with login details for your Forex VPS Hosting Plan. We usually set up your VPS Plan with 1-2 hours, but the process can take up to 12 hours.

Which Forex VPS Hosting plan should I choose?

The ideal size of your VPS is dependent on a number of factors, such as the number of instances of Metatrader MT4 you are running. For most traders, who run just 1 or 2 instances of Metatrader, and 1 Expert Adviser on just a few charts, then the Basic Plan should be enough. One thing that you should bear in mind is that if you are using multiple indicators, proprietary indicators, or Expert Advisers on multiple charts, then you will use up much more RAM. Also, if you are using an EA which is constantly taking feeds from multiple brokers, this will also eat into the RAM. One of the unique aspects of Forex VPS Hosting, is that we do not restrict the number of MT4 installs on your VPS. The reason for this is that you could be running 4 or even 5 MT4 installs with very few indicators or an Expert Adviser which is light on CPU use, whereas another trader could just have 1 or 2 installs with an EA loaded on multiple charts, which has a very heavy CPU load. If you are not sure which Plan to use, email our Support desk, telling us what indicators and EAs you intend to use, and on how many charts and MT4 installs, and we will advise you on the most appropriate plan.

Can I install MetaTrader 5 (MT5) platform on my VPS?

Yes, absolutely. As a result of the flexible configuration of our Forex VPS Hosting Plans, you are able to install MT4, MT5, or indeed any trading platform you wish.

Can I use your service if I have a Apple Mac or a Linux desktop?

Yes. A Remote Desktop Connection is already installed for Windows users, and Microsoft have a free download for Mac users. For Linux you will need to download a free program to enable you to access your virtual desktop. We will provide with detailed instructions on how to connect to your remote desktop after purchase.
